On September 26, the Central Election Commission of Moldova decided to withdraw from the elections of the Moldova Mare party (“Great Moldova”), Victoria Furtun, who called for annexation of part of the Odessa region.

Details: Pavel Postyk, Vice President of the CEC of Moldova, suggested to exclude Moldova Mare from the race, noting that this party acts as a successor to the Shore Party, which was recognized as unconstitutional.

The grounds for this were the use of a party of finances and resources not declared in reporting, the use of money received from abroad, as well as providing voters to money, goods, services or other benefits.

Moldova Mare is also accused of participating in a masked election block, together with representatives of other parties related to the Short.

Victoria Furtune rejected the accusation and demanded the dismissal of several CEC members, accusing her party’s “political persecution”. However, these requirements were not accepted.

The formal ideology of Moldova Mare is Moldovan nationalism, but in practice it is a virtual party. It was created and headed by Victoria Furtune-a man of Moldovan fugitive, Ilan Schora, who now lives in Moscow and works on the Kremlin, coordinating Russian activities in Moldova.

Furtune recently attracted attention to the statements about the desire to return to Moldova Budzhak, a historical and geographical region, which is the south of the modern Odessa region.
