“We also consider this proposal as recognition of the personal merits and international authority of the head of the Belarusian state. The proposal was brought to the attention of the President of the Republic of Belarus and received by him positively,” he emphasized.
Varankov added that Belarus is ready to take part in the activities of the Peace Council, “taking into account and hoping that this organization will expand its scope and powers far beyond the limits of the mandate proposed in the initiative.”
“This will allow it to actively participate in global processes for the settlement of any international conflicts, which will ultimately contribute to the construction of a new security architecture that Belarus has been actively promoting in recent years,” the Belarusian Foreign Ministry is convinced.
We will remind:
- Earlier it was reported that Trump is going to demand a billion dollars from states that want to have a permanent place in the Peace Council he is creating, the idea of which looks like an alternative to the United Nations.
- The Peace Council is described as “an international organization whose mission is to promote stability, restore credible and legitimate governance, and ensure lasting peace in regions where conflict continues or threatens.”
- According to sources, Trump has already invited Argentina and Canada, as well as several European states, to join the Peace Council for Gaza (a separate group “under the umbrella” of the general Peace Council). The Hungarian Prime Minister has already announced the corresponding invitation Viktor Orbanas well as the Italian premiere George Maloney.
- The Kremlin said that the Russian ruler Vladimir Putin also received an invitation to join the Gaza Peace Council.
