In Magdeburg, the Christmas fair began to be dismantled ahead of time after the terrorist attack on December 20, writes UNN with reference to BILD.

Details

As a result of the terrorist attack, five people died, more than 200 were injured. Instead of the planned closure on December 23, the market closed immediately after the incident, and now employees have begun dismantling the shopping pavilions and attractions.

The attack was carried out by 50-year-old Taleb Al-Abdulmohsen, who drove a BMW into the crowd, crossing the concrete blocks. Representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs explained that the distance between the blocks was six meters, which allowed the attacker to bypass the barricade. The current security plan is being tested.

The Minister of Internal Affairs demands to understand why metal chains were not used between the concrete blocks, which would not allow the car to pass.

Mistakes made by the police are also being investigated: one of the patrol cars was not at the planned location, which could also affect the efficiency of the law enforcement officers.

We will remind
