In Kyiv, there was a shooting at a service station, the suspect was detained by the police

In Kyiv, law enforcement officers detained a man who may be involved in a shooting from a machine gun at a service station, the capital’s Patrol Police said in a statement.

It is noted that “the 112 line received a report about an aggressive man in the Darnytskyi district who threatened the employees of the service station with physical violence and, according to the applicant, shot with a machine gun.”

Inspectors say that they “quickly arrived at the scene and found out that the alleged attacker fled the scene in a Volkswagen car. The law enforcement officers asked about the signs of the violator and started a search.”

“The patrol officers promptly searched the surrounding areas and found the fugitive’s car, and the intruder in one of the premises. The inspectors detained the citizen and handed him over to the investigators,” the Patrol Police said.

Later, the police examined the man’s vehicle and found a weapon inside. The seized was sent to the investigators for examination. Currently, the investigators have submitted information to the EDPR under part. 4 Art. 296 (Hooliganism committed with the use of weapons) of the Criminal Code.

Earlier, on the night of November 23, there was a shooting in a Kyiv hotel. The law enforcement officers clarified that as a result of the shooting, one man died, and two others were hospitalized.
