IDPs, forced to leave their homes due to the offensive of the Armed Forces and the state of emergency in the region, talk about delays in providing housing certificates and the lack of financial assistance.
The acting governor of the region Oleksandr Khinshtein joined the protesters. In response to the remark of one of the participants of the meeting that people “remained homeless”, the official disagreed and said that everyone will receive housing certificates.
Hinstein in this conversation laid the blame on regional officials, stating serious management problems and corruption schemes. According to Khinshtein, the materials on some representatives of the authorities have already been handed over to law enforcement agencies.
From August 2024, fighting with the Armed Forces of Ukraine continues in the Kursk region. Earlier, the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, removed former governor Oleksiy Smirnov from his post due to the dissatisfaction of local residents, appointing Khinshtein as a temporary acting administrator.
