The Central Geophysical Observatory named after Boris Sreznevsky reports that the average monthly air temperature of September in Kiev was 16.8 ° C, which is higher than the climatic norm by 1.9 ° C. This year September was 13 among the warmest in the capital since the beginning of observations.
According to meteorologists, it was the coldest on September 26, when the minimum temperature dropped in the morning to 4.7 degrees Celsius, and the warmest – the 1st, when the maximum temperature increased to 31.1 degrees.
According to observations, in Kyiv meteorological autumn began on September 24 – a week later than the climatic norm. It is characterized by a steady transition of average daily air temperature below 15 degrees.
The earliest meteorological autumn visited Kiev in 1993 – August 25, and latest – October 15 in 2020.
