In Kharkiv Oblast, 18 people were injured in a road accident involving a passenger bus – the police

In the Kharkiv region, as a result of a collision between a car and a passenger bus, 18 people were injured, including a 17-year-old boy, the local police reported.

“The driver of a Kia Sorento, moving in the direction of the city of Merefa, lost control. As a result, the vehicle drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter passenger bus. As a result of the collision, 18 people aged between 17 and 70 were injured – passengers of the bus, a passenger of the Kia Sorento, as well as the drivers of the vehicles,” the report said.

The police added that three women were given the necessary medical assistance on the spot, and the other victims were hospitalized.

Investigators have opened criminal proceedings under the article “violation of traffic safety rules or transport operation by persons driving vehicles”.
