In Kharkiv, an employee of the TCC used force against a lawyer: an official investigation has been ordered

A video was shared on social networks, in which an employee of the TCC in Kharkiv uses physical force on a lawyer during the work of the military medical commission on the basis of one of the medical institutions. Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets sent a letter to the SBI regarding the request to open criminal proceedings due to the incident. In turn, the regional TCC announced that they had appointed an official inspection. It is reported UNN.

As the ombudsman said, video material is circulating on social networks, on which a lawyer was prevented from entering the premises of the military medical commission at one of the TCC and SP in Kharkiv. Physical force was applied to her by a man in uniform.

I immediately instructed my representative in the Kharkiv region, Oksana Chervyakova, to find out the actual circumstances of the situation. Even yesterday, letters were sent to the Kharkiv OTCC and SP with this purpose. I also sent a letter to the State Bureau of Investigation regarding the opening of criminal proceedings based on the specified fact

The Ombudsman reminded that according to Article 59 of the Constitution of Ukraine, everyone has the right to professional legal assistance. Restriction of such a constitutional right is inadmissible in accordance with Part 2 of Article 64 of the Constitution of Ukraine. At the same time, he noted that similar cases of human rights violations are occurring more and more often.

The Kharkiv OTCC JV has already commented on the incident with the lawyer. They said that the event happened on January 9. As the TCC stated, “the conflict was caused by the behavior of a citizen who called herself the lawyer of a conscript. At the same time, the citizen obstructed the work of the VLK with her aggressive behavior and attempts to provoke a conflict.”
