Details: On Monday, the sentences alternately announced the leader of the Strong Georgia and Lelo’s Mamuki Khazaradze, the leader of the Coalition for Changes and the Gurry Party – more freedom of Zhurab Japaridze, as well as one of the leaders of “Strong Georgia” and “Lelo”.

Khazaradze and Badri Japaridze were sentenced to eight months of imprisonment, and Zhurab Japaidze – up to seven.
All of them were previously accused of refusing to cooperate with a parliamentary investigative commission, which investigates the activities of former authorities Mikhail Saakashvili in 2004-2012.
The Georgian Dream Party has previously adopted amendments to the legislation, which criminalized the refusal to answer the questions of parliamentary commissions.
There they explained that the refusal of opposition politicians to appear to the meeting of the Parliament Investigation Commission to investigate the actions of the former authorities is a “insidious plan”.
