In Cyprus, the son of a sanctioned businessman Yermolayev was detained – UP sources

In Cyprus, at the request of Interpol, Artur Yermolayev – the son of the sanctioned Dnipro businessman Vadim Yermolayev – was detained.

Details: According to the interlocutors, the detention is connected with the activities of call centers. The sources also noted that Yermolayev was detained on December 4 while trying to fly to Dubai.

What preceded:

• In May 2025, journalists hromadske found out that Derzhgeonadr renewed all three special permits for the development and extraction of minerals, which were blocked from the beginning of 2024 due to sanctions against the Dnipro businessman Vadym Yermolayev. We are talking about licenses for the development of deposits in Zhytomyr region, Dnipropetrovsk region and Poltava region, which were previously issued to the companies of the Dnipro businessman Korostyshivskiy Quarry PJSC, Potoky LLC and Trends System LLC.
• In August 2024, journalists found outthat granite for the national military memorial cemetery, which is to be built in the forest near the village of Markhalivka near Kyiv, will be supplied by the “Alef” group of companies of sanctioned businessman Vadym Yermolayev.
• In September of the same year, law enforcement officers confirmed Yermolayev’s connection with the builders of the national military memorial cemetery, which is planned to be built near Kyiv.
