The Cuba Ministry and the National Electric Union have confirmed the “complete disconnection of the electricity system” and stated that the causes of the accident were found out.

In the harbor, where about 2 million people live, the authorities are working on launching basic power plants. Hospitals, airports and other critical objects work through reserve generators. At the same time, the vast majority of 9.7 million inhabitants of the country were left without light.
This is the fourth large -scale failure in the cubes in less than a year. Previously, it took two to three days to fully restore the power supply.
Nevertheless, the majority of the country’s population has been faced every day with a 16 hours or more shutdown.
According to Reuters, the Cuba power system is based on outdated oil power plants. The situation was worsened by the reduction of fuel imports from Venezuela, Russia and Mexico, which actually put the energy of the island on the lump of survival.
The country has also faced the lack of food and other goods, as well as the worst economic crisis in recent decades.
