“This idea I came from the Christmas and New Year’s weekend. For most people, these are family holidays, and our military, who are now on rehabilitation, are sitting in four walls. Therefore, we decided to organize interesting photos calendar, ” – says the author of the project, the head of the Chernivtsi branch of the prosthetic -orthopedic enterprise” Orthotope “Kateryna Serbin.
According to her, not only the result that resulted in the calendar was important, but also the process of its creation. After all, it was a leisure, a good time for the wounded military in various locations.
“Our veterans with prosthetic limbs are an important topic of barrier. The salon, ice area, entertainment centers, “said Serbin.
Photographer Yaroslav Kutsak became the author of the photo. The youngest participant in the photo shoot was Vladimir Timofeychuk from Chernivtsi. He said that he had joined the Ukrainian army a year ago.

The guy confesses that the first emotions after injury and amputation was fear for his later life and ashamed to go outside with crutches. But the support of relatives and friends gave strength. It is glad that such an initiative to create a calendar demonstrate to others the wounded that life lasts. And after prosthetics, veterans can and live a full life.
During the presentation of the calendar, everyone could buy it for 400 UAH or more Donat. All the funds raised are planned to be transferred to the purchase of medicines to the military from the 37th separate infantry brigade.
The cover of the calendar was the photo from the ascent of the military on the prostheses to the top of Mount Hoverla. One of the heroes of that ascent and a new calendar, the veteran Andrei Ilyin during the presentation made a proposal to his bride.
“I thought for a long time somehow to do it. I consulted with acquaintances. And here there was such an opportunity, today they present a calendar, many people, my brothers gathered. So I thought that it is not necessary to wait for the best opportunity,” – said after the certificate Ilyin.
His bride answered “yes”. According to the newlyweds, the date of the future wedding will be determined later.
It was reported that about three thousand soldiers were provided at the state expense by functional dentures in 2024.
