“As of today, the heat supply, as well as the supply of cold and hot water, has been restored, but not in full yet. At present, the pressure parameters in the system are already within normal limits, and the gradual restoration of the temperature regime is underway. As of morning, the coolant temperature was about 55 degrees. By the end of the day, they plan to reach the normative indicators,” he wrote on Facebook.
Andrieshyn added that the hospital in the city received heat from a solid fuel boiler house in recent days, and educational institutions today work in a remote format.
On February 7, the Russian military carried out another massive attack on energy facilities in Ukraine. According to Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal, substations and overhead lines of 750 kV and 330 kV – “the basis of the energy network of Ukraine” – were under attack, as well as generation: Burshtynska TPP (Ivano-Frankivsk region) and Dobrotvirska TPP (Lviv region).
At that time, the local authorities reported that the Burshtynska TPP had stopped work due to this attack. According to the mayor of the city, the Russian forces attacked the city and the TPP with Kalibr missiles and attack drones, and the damage to the station was “very serious.” There was no water supply and heating in the city.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine previously stated that it qualifies the Russian strikes on energy, which deprive Ukrainians of heat supply against the background of severe frosts, as acts of genocide.
