The court was told that Earl, from Elmsthorpe, Leicestershire, and Reeves, 24, from Croydon, south London, chose the site as their target because it was used to deliver humanitarian aid and StarLink satellite equipment to Ukraine. Earl recruited Reeves to help him plan the arson. Reeves then recruited his friend Nia Kojo Mensa to carry out the attack. Mensah recruited his friend Jakeem Rose and Ugnii Asmena also joined the attack. It took eight fire brigades with 60 firefighters to bring the fire under control.
