The direct language of the interlocutor in the Seversky direction: “The Russians are already coming to Grigorivka (a neighboring village, located in Donetsk region – UP).”
Details: According to the UP, the point of reference in the loss of Belogovka was a Russian breakthrough at the end of 2024.
On December 14, 2024, the invaders began active assaults and jumped into the village from the south, from the chalk career-so they entered the rear of the defense units that defended Bigorivka. Then the Russians began to press all over the line. Some of them were knocked out, but part – remained in the settlement. It was very difficult to restore positions after a breakthrough, and part is impossible at all.
In April, since the Russians began to actively use the village of FPV-therots, the movement of Ukrainian units on the destroyed settlement was significantly complicated.
The almost complete loss of the village was relatively recently-in May-June.
Now, under the control of Ukraine, there is a small piece of Luhansk region on the border with Kharkiv region.
Why is it important: Bigorivka has an important strategic task due to its location and landscape. Its heights are given the opportunity to control two directions at once – Serebryansk forestry behind Siversky Donets and the city of Siversk.
