“My heart is broken due to the death of 36-year-old political prisoner Andrei Middle, whom his mother reported. He spent almost four years behind bars in Belarus. Nine political prisoners have already died.
The Middle has had Russian citizenship. The exact cause of death is unknown. Official sources have not confirmed any incident.

Andrew had a wife and two young children.
He began to participate in public life in 2019, opposed to a dense building in his area: he collecting signatures under the collective appeal of residents against the seal and printing postcards.
In the 2020 elections, Andrew was an observer. He was outraged by falsification, wrote complaints to the prosecutor’s office on the chairman of the commission. He participated in protests. On one of them he was on the car: he was fined and deprived of rights.
Andrew had a healthy lifestyle – he did not smoke or drink.
Middle -year -old, who lived in Belarus for six years and had a residence permit for six years, was detained in November 2021.
He was charged with a number of grievous articles of the Criminal Code of Belarus: an attempt on deliberate destruction or damage to another’s property, the creation of extremist formation, the act of terrorism for arson And also arson of the crane on the construction site in 2019. Judge Anatoly Sotnikov sentenced Andrew to 15 years in the strict regime.
On May 23, 2022, the KGB included a political prisoner in the “list of persons involved in terrorist activity”.
On January 3, 2023, the Gomel Regional Court added new charges and added a period of strict regime for another year and eight months.
