In January-October 2024, expenditures of the general fund of the state budget on the security and defense sector amounted to UAH 1.6 trillion, in particular, in October – UAH 201.6 billion.

As reported by Ukrinform, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine informed about this in Telegram.

“UAH 1.6 trillion are expenditures of the general fund of the state budget on the security and defense sector in January – October 2024. This is 58.3% of the total amount of expenditures of the general fund of the state budget,” the message says.

In particular, UAH 201.6 billion was used from the state budget for security and defense needs in October.

It is emphasized that the funds are intended for the financial support of military personnel, members of the rank and file, and police officers; purchase of military equipment, weapons, ammunition, personal protective equipment, fuel and lubricants, food products; medical care and other expenses.
