IMI published the results of its traditional annual survey among the professional community in all regions of Ukraine.
Journalists of 2025, according to the results of the survey, became:
- Mykhailo Tkach (“Ukrainian Pravda”)
- Diana Butsko (hromadske)
- Daryna Kolomiets (Public)
- Vlasta Lazur (Radio Liberty, Public)
- Yanina Kornienko (Investigation.Info)
- Alina Korzhynska (“Chernihiv Society”)
- Denis Bigus (Bihus.info)
- Serhii Nuzhnenko (Radio Liberty)
- Oleksiy Kotsebchuk (“Chernihiv Society”)
- Inna Vedernikova (ZN.ua)
Also, 13 other journalists who inspire and have the respect of their colleagues were mentioned many times in the survey. Among them is Nataliya Sedletska, head of Radio Liberty’s Kyiv bureau and the “Scheme” journalistic investigation project, and Vladyslav Yesypenko, a Krym.Realii journalist.
Journalists who returned from Russian captivity became symbols of stability. Vladyslav Yesypenko (released in June 2025, in Crimea he was sentenced to five years in prison) and Dmytro Khilyuk (UNIAN correspondent, released in August 2025, after three years in Russian captivity).
The survey was conducted on December 3-20, 2025. This year, the Institute of Mass Information for the first time conducted a survey among the journalistic community in a new open format, with the identification of respondents. 135 journalists and media workers from all regions of Ukraine took part in the non-anonymous survey.
