US President Joe Biden on Monday, January 13, mocked Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s failed attempt to capture Kyiv in three days.
He stated this during the closing speech, which was dedicated to the achievements of his administration in foreign policy.
“When Putin invaded Ukraine, he thought he would capture Kyiv in a few days. But the truth is that since the beginning of this war, I am the only one who stood in the center of Kyiv, not him. Putin has never been there,” the US president said.
Biden also emphasized that under his administration, the enemies of the United States, in particular Russia, have become weaker.
“It was a long train ride! But I am the only supreme commander [США]who visited a combat zone that is not controlled by our troops,” the American president recalls his visit to Ukraine.
The US helped Ukraine stop Putin, and the head of the Kremlin regime did not achieve any of his strategic goals and was unable to conquer Ukraine, Biden said.

He also named the two key tasks he set himself when the full-scale invasion began: to unite the world in support of Ukraine and to prevent war between nuclear powers.
“We managed to do both. And today, Ukraine is still a free and independent country that has the potential for a bright future. We have laid the groundwork for the next administration so that they can protect the bright future of the Ukrainian people,” Biden concluded.
On January 10, Biden said that Ukraine has a “real chance” to defeat Russia, because the price of war for the aggressor country is incredibly high, and Putin is in a “predicament.”
On January 9, the head of the Pentagon, Lloyd Austin, announced a new package of military aid for Ukraine from the US for 500 million dollars. This is the latest aid package for Ukraine announced by the current administration of US President Joe Biden.
