Hungary and Slovakia – the only border countries will not be at a meeting on the Wall of Drones

The European Commissioner for Defense Andrews Kubilus will hold a meeting on the creation of the Wall of Drones on September 26, which should protect the countries of the Eastern flank from Russian attacks. All the neighboring states of Ukraine, except Hungary and Slovakia, will join the discussion. A spokesman for the European Commission Tom Renier announced this at a briefing in the European Commission, reports Radio Liberty correspondent in Brussels.

“Who will participate in addition to the European Commissioner of Kublyus and the European Commission, are seven member states that are on the front line. So: Estonia, Latvia, Finland, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, ”Renier said.

According to him, Ukraine will also join this discussion that will take place in an online format. In addition, it is possible that other countries will join in future meetings.

“It is necessary to install a” wall of drones “, given recent attacks or invasion of Romania and Poland,” – explained the need for such a meeting of Renier.

The meeting will discuss the capabilities and needs of the countries to later make a decision on potential next steps-“in close cooperation with Ukraine and other Member States,” the spokesman said.

Earlier in the European Commission assured that Ukraine will be part of the project from the EU Wall of Drones along the EU Eastern border. The intention to create this kind of protection in the EU began to speak after the mass intervention of Russian drones into the Russian Space.
