President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated the employees of Ukrainian diplomacy on their professional holiday and emphasized the importance of their work for the country. He writes about it UNN with reference to the President’s speech.

Details

The President of Ukraine stated that there are hundreds of directions of relations in the world in which Ukraine needs a real, concrete, tangible result. And this is precisely the work of our diplomats.

“To be in all the necessary offices, to be in the media, to be in communication with all the people necessary for Ukraine and to be understood – so that Ukraine has what it needs,” Zelenskyy said.

He added that Ukraine was able to become stronger this year, was able to become closer to the goal that unites all our people.

“We need to defeat the occupier,” the president said.

Zelensky thanked the diplomats who work for the result for the country, and not just for the gratitude of the leadership or for the sake of fulfilling formal duties:

“To be the ambassador of Ukraine, to be a Ukrainian diplomat is to be a person who can answer absolutely concretely the question of what exactly you have done to bring us closer to peace, to protect the interests of Ukraine and Ukrainians.”

Zelenskyi said that the next year will be key from the point of view of this particular task.

“We must do everything to make 2025 a year of just peace for Ukraine,” Zelenskyi said.

He also noted that it is very important that the work on NATO is not a cabinet affair. And sanctions against Russia should work as long as we need them.

We will remind

The day before, Zelenskyi signed decrees on the dismissal of Ukrainian ambassadors in Rwanda, Kenya, Slovenia, China, Indonesia, Japan and Lithuania.

At the same time, the president appointed new ambassadors there.

Zelenskyi also appointed former Kremlin prisoner Nariman Dzhelal as Ukraine’s ambassador to Turkey.
