“The Supreme Anti -Corruption Court justified the former MP, who was accused of illegally receiving almost UAH 700,000 in housing lease in Kiev. The court found it innocent of the criminal offense under Part 5 of Art. 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – appropriation, misappropriation of property or seizure by abuse of office, and justified the Exnarade in connection with the absence in his actions of a criminal offense. VAKS also left a civil claim of the Affairs of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine without consideration, brought to the Exnarade on reimbursement of property damage in the amount of UAH 691 540, and canceled the seizure of his property. The sentence can be appealed within 30 days from the date of its proclamation. The Specialized Anti -Corruption Prosecutor’s Office has already declared the intention to challenge this VACS sentence. The prosecutor’s office added that, within the framework of the pre -trial investigation, it was found that, despite the existence of his own housing, the former MP illegally received compensation for the housing from the budget of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, provided for by the People’s Deputies, who did not have their own premises in the capital.
