“A 36-year-old man from Kharkiv cut his hand when he tried to overcome the barrier fence. During this attempt, border guards found him. The man ignored the law enforcement officers’ demand to stop and ran away. He was caught when he was already in the water,” the report says.
Border guards provided first aid to the violator and called an ambulance. The man was subsequently charged with attempting to cross the border illegally.
