Literally: “It was established that on January 6, 2024, a gunner of the “Storm-V” assault unit of the 218th tank regiment of the 127th motorized rifle division of the 5th Army of the Eastern Military District of the Russian Armed Forces shot a Ukrainian prisoner of war during the fighting near the village of Pryutne, Pologiv District.”

Details: It is noted that this is the first sentence in the history of Ukraine, when the occupier received such a term precisely for shooting a soldier of the Defense Forces.
As the prosecutor reported, the Ukrainian defender came out of the dugout without a weapon, raised his hands and clearly showed that he was surrendering. At the request of the military of the Russian Federation, he knelt down – and at that moment the occupier opened fire with a machine gun. The Ukrainian soldier died on the spot.
On the same day, after counteroffensive actions of the Ukrainian army, the occupier was captured and handed over to law enforcement officers.
The Russian military man was repeatedly convicted in the Russian Federation. To avoid punishment for theft, he signed a contract with the armed forces of the Russian Federation in November 2023 and was sent to fight in the Zaporizhia direction.
