US Vice President Kamala Harris leads former President Donald Trump by 4% ahead of the November 5 election.

This is evidenced by the PBS News/NPR/Marist poll.

In a national poll of likely voters, 51% of respondents support Harris, and 47% support Trump.

The poll also showed that the gender gap narrowed significantly in the final days before the election.

According to the latest poll, 51% of male voters favor Donald Trump as the presidential candidate and 47% for Kamala Harris, compared to 57% of men who previously supported Trump, compared to 41% who supported Harris. Harris’s lead among women has also shrunk: previously her support was ahead of her rival by 18%, but now the gap has narrowed to 11%.

The results of the survey resemble the results of 2020, when Joe Biden was supported by 51% of voters, and Trump – 47%.

Harris also managed to reduce Trump’s lead among white voters. In 2020, the gap was 12%, now it is 9%. However, compared to Biden, there has been a slight decline in support for Harris among black and Hispanic voters. The poll found that 8% of Republicans would vote for Harris, up from just 5% last month. At the same time, only 4% of Democrats declared their support for Trump.

According to the survey, 55% of likely voters have already voted, and a third are going to do so on election day. About 40% of Trump supporters intend to vote in person on November 5.

Also, 49% of respondents believe that Trump will win, while 46% expect Harris to win.

Among those who have already voted, Harris leads Trump 56% to 42%, and among those who have not yet voted, 53% plan to vote for Trump, 45% for Harris.

The PBS News/NPR/Marist poll was conducted between Oct. 31 and Nov. 2 of 1,297 likely voters and has a margin of error of 3.5 percentage points.

The US election will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. The current president, Joe Biden, will retain his powers until January 20, 2025, the day of the inauguration of the newly elected 47th president of the United States and the 50th vice president, who will be elected together with him.
