According to the results, 93% of Ukrainians buy devices for study and leisure, of which 51% buy everything they need — a phone, a laptop, and a tablet. 31% buy a phone to at least be in touch. The results look like this:
- Yes, the child has everything: both a phone and a laptop / tablet — 51%;
- A simple phone or an old smartphone to keep in touch — 17%;
- Only a relatively new smartphone — 14%;
- Tablet / laptop for studying and gaming — 9%;
- We don’t buy, the child uses adult gadgets for leisure and learning — 7%;
- Only a smart watch — 2%.
Respondents also shared the exact age at which children buy their first devices. Almost half of the respondents indicated that their children get their first gadget at the age of 6-7. In general, the responses were divided as follows:
- Up to 5 years — 12%.
- 6-7 years — 47%;
- 8-9 years old — 19%;
- From 10 years – 22%.
