“We want more than 40 licenses. We have 18 today, there are competitions where we can get them. It is difficult to obtain licenses, because during a full-scale war and prepare and psychologically difficult. In my opinion, 40-45 licenses will be presented to our team.
It is worth noting that most of these 18 licenses Ukraine won in biathlon as a result of the Cup of Nations (five in men and women). Five licenses were won in ski races, two in skiing.
In September, Cyril Marsak won the last license for Ukraine. The 21-year-old athlete will be the only Ukrainian to perform at the 2026 Olympic Games in figure skating.
We will remind that Ukraine will not perform at the Olympic Games in Ice for the first time in history. In addition, Ukrainians will not participate in sports couples for the third time in a row.
