Financial details of the deal were not disclosed, but the partnership builds on AP’s previous collaboration with Google to deliver real-time news through the company’s search engine, AP reported.
Christine Heitmann, senior vice president and chief revenue officer at AP, said the partnership between AP and Google demonstrates the importance of independent journalism and accuracy in working with generative products based on artificial intelligence.
According to Jaffer Zaidi, Google’s vice president of global news partnerships, users of Google Workspace subscriptions for business and enterprise will soon have access to Gemini features at no additional cost.
