The UK Defense Minister John Gili said that the current rate of shelling of Ukraine can continue during 2025.

“We meet against the backdrop of the worst attacks of Russian drones on Ukraine since the beginning of a full -scale invasion of Putin. The cities were injured, the houses are destroyed, civilians are killed, and Russia is now starting more than 300 drones every day in Ukraine. And this rate of shelling can be supported during 2025. And three and a half years of this war, President Putin continues to prove that he is not for peace, ”he said at the beginning of the next meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine (Ramstein.)

He noted that until Putin proves that he is seriously tuned to peace, the role and responsibility of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine continues – it is “our common responsibility”.

“We have to be activated, we should not retreat. For its part, the United Kingdom will increase the supply of drones to Ukraine this year. 10,000 last year, we strive for 100,000 this year, ”Gili added.

On the eve of the British Ministry of Defense, London invests a record 350 million pounds this year to increase the supply of drones to Ukraine from 10 thousand in 2024 to 100 thousand – in 2025.

The ministry added that since the Armed Forces of Ukraine demonstrated the effectiveness of using drones in protecting against Russian invasion, the United Kingdom doubled the investment in drones with British defense companies, including small and medium -sized enterprises.
