Germany will transfer 4,000 drones with artificial intelligence to Ukraine, Defense Minister Boris Pistorius told journalists on November 18.

He noted that the drones are “guided and supported by artificial intelligence” and that they can “disable the enemy’s electronic drone defenses.”

According to Pistorius, the drones “can be delivered very quickly” and can be “deployed 30-40 kilometers behind the front line and hit combat posts, logistics centers and other targets.”

Despite the fact that the German media called the unmanned aerial vehicles “mini-Taurus”, the government noted that they have different flight ranges.

Defense Department spokeswoman Natalie Jennings told reporters that “there is no connection to the Taurus system as has been reported in some media.”

According to information from the German publication Bild, it is about HX-2 Karma type attack drones produced by the Munich company Helsing.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, during a debate in the lower house of the German parliament on March 13, repeated the thesis that he does not support the supply of long-range Taurus missiles to Ukraine. He stated that for him this is a line that he does not want to cross.
