The German government spokesman said its country would strengthen its presence on the Eastern NATO border in response to this incident. “In addition to the available obligations in the Baltic region and Poland, the government will expand and strengthen aviation patrol over Poland,” he said.
He added that Berlin will also activate Ukraine’s support and work within the EU on the rapid approval of the 19th Package of Sanctions against Russia.
