German Foreign Ministry: The EU will impose new sanctions against the “shadow fleet”

German Foreign Minister Johann Vadeful announced the strengthening of supervision after suspicious incidents with the “shadow fleet” of Russia in the Baltic Sea.

He called the “shadow fleet” of Russia a serious threat to security. The EU, he said, “directly imposes new sanctions” against these vessels that Russia uses to bypass restrictions.

“It will also help Ukraine, because the shadow fleet transports oil daily, which Russia sells bypassing sanctions,” added the head of the German Foreign Ministry.

It is known that a few days ago the Navy Estonia tried to stop the Jaguar tanker, which passed through the international waters of the Gulf of Finnish in the direction of the port of Primorsk. It is believed that the ship belongs to the “shadow fleet” of the Russian Federation.

According to the available data, the tanker crew refused to follow the instructions of Estonian border guards, but the ship left the economic waters of Estonia. It should also be noted that this tanker is included in the sanction list of Britain.
