General Staff: There were 174 collisions on the front per day, most in two directions

174 combat clashes were recorded on the front during the last day, most of them in the Pokrovsky and Kursk directions, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in the morning construction.

In the Kursk direction, the units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine reflected 38 Russian attacks in the last day, added to the General Staff. 18 Russian attacks were in the Novopavlovsky direction.

The fighting also took place in Kharkiv, Kupyansk, Lyman, Siversky, Kramatorsk, Toretsky, Gulyaypil, Orikhiv, Dnieper directions.

“Yesterday, the enemy struck on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements of one massive missile strike 22 rockets and 65 air strikes, in particular, dropped 100 controlled bombs. In addition, he made 6153 shelling, of which 133 were made of rockets of volley fire, and attracted 3391 dron-Kamikadze to defeat, ”the message reads.

The Pokrovsky direction in the Donetsk region remains one of the hottest areas of the front. Over the last year, the largest number of combat clashes is mainly recorded there.

On May 22, Radio Liberty Donbass reported that Russia in Donbass intensified the offensive in several directions, seeking to surround Konstantinovka – an important railway knot and a stronghold of Ukrainian defense. Russian troops are pressed by the time ravine, Toretsk and Pokrovskaya, trying to expand the front and destabilize Ukrainian defense with flank maneuvers.

Konstantinovka is the extreme southern point of the fortified line of fortresses that control the defense forces in the Donbass. In the case of its capture, the army of the Russian Federation will probably try to move further to Druzhkivka, Kramatorsk (the largest free city in Donetsk now) and Slavyansk. It is a key railway and car unit on the free Donbass, which is actively using the Armed Forces to defense the surrounding settlements.
