General Staff: There were 169 combat clashes on the front per day

169 fighting clashes were recorded on the front during the last day, most of all – in the Pokrovsky direction, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in the morning summarizing on June 5.

“In the Pokrovsky direction, our defenders stopped 61 attacks of the aggressor in the areas of settlements Malynivka, Mirolyubivka, Grodivka, Lisivka, Novoukrainka, Lucky, Novosergiyivka, Kotlyarivka, Nutkhovo and Andriyivka,” – the message reads.

In addition, according to the Armed Forces command, 31 Russian forces were in Kursk, 25 in Liman. The fighting also took place in Kharkiv, Kupyansk, Siversky, Kramatorsk, Toretsky, Novopavlovsky directions.

“Yesterday, the enemy struck the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements of two missile strokes using two missiles, as well as 76 air strikes, including 118 managed aviation bombs. In addition, he made 4897 shellings, 71 of them from the rockets of volley fire, and attracted 2874 drones-Kamikadze to defeat, ”the message reads.

The Pokrovsky direction in the Donetsk region remains one of the hottest areas of the front. Over the last year, the largest number of combat clashes is mainly recorded there.

On May 22, Radio Liberty Donbass reported that Russia in Donbass intensified the offensive in several directions, seeking to surround Konstantinovka – an important railway knot and a stronghold of Ukrainian defense. Konstantinovka is the extreme southern point of the fortified line of fortresses that control the defense forces in the Donbass.
