General Staff: There were 112 clashes per day at the front, more than 20 – in the Pokrovsky direction

During the last day, 112 combat clashes took place on the front, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in the morning summarizing on March 17.

“In the Pokrovsky direction our defenders stopped 21 assault and offensive action in the areas of settlements Sukha Balka, Zarov, Elizabeth, Ray, Kotline, Novoaleksandrivka, Novosergiyivka, Uspenivka, Yasenove, Andriyivka,” – the message reads.

In addition, according to the General Staff, the fighting lasted in Kharkiv, Kupyansk, Lymansky, Siversky, Kramatorsk, Toretsky, Novopavlovsky, Gulyaypil, Orikhiv directions.

“There were 14 combatants in the Kursk direction of the last day. The enemy made 11 aviation blows, dropped 18 managed bombs, made 289 artillery shelling, including 12 – from the jet systems of volley fire, ”the consolidation said.

The Pokrovsky direction in the Donetsk region remains one of the hottest areas of the front. Over the last year, the largest number of combat clashes is recorded there.
