General Staff: There were 111 combat clashes on the front per day

There were 111 fighting clashes at the front during the last day, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in the morning.

It is reported that most Russian attacks were in the Pokrovsky direction.

“Our defenders stopped 32 storms of the aggressor in the areas of Sukha Balka, Green Field, Elizabeth, Lisivka, Lysovka, Novosergiyivka, Trinity, Second Water, Bogdanivka, Andriyivka and in the direction of old Mykolaivka,” – said.

In addition, 19 attacks were in the Toretsky direction, 14 – in Lymansky, 12 – in Novopavlovsky and 17 – in Kurshchyna in the Russian Federation, they say in the General Staff.

The fighting also lasted in Kharkiv, Kupyansk, Siversky, Kramatorsk, Orikhiv and Dnieper direction, according to the rank.

The Pokrovsky direction in the Donetsk region remains one of the hottest areas of the front. Over the last year, the largest number of combat clashes is mainly recorded there.

On March 26, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russian leader Vladimir Putin was “trying to win time and prepares for a spring offensive.” According to him, “Putin prepares a new offensive, in particular in Sumy and Kharkiv region.”

On April 9, in an interview with Lb.ua, the commander -in -chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky stated that the new offensive of Russian troops in Sumy region and Kharkiv “actually began”.
