General Staff: Russian troops continue to focus efforts in two directions

There were 62 fighting on the front from the beginning of the day, Russian troops continue to focus efforts in the Pokrovsky and Toretsky directions, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in the summary as of 16:00.

“In the Toretsky direction, the enemy attacked the positions of our troops 13 times in the areas of Dachny, Friendship, Diliyivka, Toretsk and Leonidivka. There are still four combatants. The high activity of the enemy is currently stored in the Pokrovsky direction. 22 times today there were collisions of varying intensity. Ukrainian warriors reflected hostile attacks in the areas of settlements Novokalinovo, Tarasivka, Elizabeth, Zavorev, Lucky, Novosergiyivka, Nadiivka, Uspenivka, Andriyivka and towards Romanivka and Alexandropol. Until now, 10 of these wickednesses are ongoing, ”the message reads.

In addition, according to the General Staff, the fighting lasted in Kharkiv, Kupyansk, Lymansky, Siverskyi, Kramatorsk, Novopavlovsky, Orikhiv, Dnieper direction and in Kurshchyna in the Russian Federation.

The Pokrovsky direction in the Donetsk region remains one of the hottest areas of the front. Over the last year, the largest number of combat clashes is mainly recorded there. On March 26, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russian leader Vladimir Putin was “trying to win time and prepares for a spring offensive.” According to him, “Putin prepares a new offensive, in particular in Sumy and Kharkiv region.”
