General Staff reported 57 combat clashes at the front per day

There were 57 fighting collisions on the front during the day, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported as of 16:00 on March 1.

Most of the fighting was in the Pokrovsky direction.

“In the Pokrovsky direction, Russian invaders made 15 attempts to squeeze our defenders from the positions near the new Poltava, Elizabeth, Ray, Pokrovskaya, Sandy, Lucky, Transfiguration, Bogdanivka, Andriyivka and Ulaklov. Defense forces restrain the onslaught and reflect 13 enemy attacks, two combatants are still ongoing. In addition, the enemy aircraft struck the Kabami on Novopavlivka and Novoukrainka, ”the message reads.

In addition, it is reported that 10 combatants were in the Toretsky direction, six – in Lymansky, five – in Novopavlovsky, three – in Gulyaypil, Kupyansk, Orikhivsky and one combatance continues in the Dnieper direction.

“In the Kursk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled nine attacks of the enemy, two more combatants continue to this time, in addition, the enemy has struck 14 aircraft blows, dropping 17 cabins, made 210 artillery shelling on the positions of our troops and settlements,” the statement reads.

Earlier today, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported that in February at the front the number of combat clashes decreased, but more than Russian air strikes became on the positions of defense forces.

The department says that in February there were 3 274 combat clashes, and in January – 5 087. In February, Russian tactical aviation dropped more than 3 522 cabins. In January, the Russian Federation used about 2 400 managed aviation bombs, the Ministry of Defense reported.
