According to the headquarters, the Russian invaders carried out two missile strikes, 63 airstrikes, dropping 86 guided air bombs on the territory of Ukraine.
In total, the enemy attacked in ten directions. On the Kupyansk, Lymansk, Kramatorsk, Toretsk, Pokrovsky, Kurakhivsk, Vremivsk, and Orichivsk directions, 22 battles are still ongoing.
“In the Pokrovsky direction, since the beginning of this day, the enemy has attacked 25 times in the areas of Novotoretsk, Selidovy, Novogrodivka, Krasny Yar, Vozdvizhenka, Mykhailivka, and Marynivka. Our defenders repelled 24 assaults. The battle is still going on near Selidovoy. Today, according to preliminary data, 460 occupiers were neutralized in this direction, 188 of them – irreversibly. Two armored fighting vehicles and 11 cars were also destroyed. A tank, one BBM, seven artillery systems, and nine cars were damaged,” the summary states.
Acting press officer of the 33rd OMBr Nazar Voytenkov told Radio Svoboda (the “Svoboda.Ranok” project) that the Russian army is attacking the village of Kurakhove, which is near Pokrovsk in Donetsk region, from three sides.
On September 5, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi said that it was possible to stop the advance of Russian forces in the Pokrovsky direction.
