The prosecutor’s office accuses Galushkin of negligent attitude to military service and improper defense during the offensive of Russians to the north of Kharkiv region in 2024.
The prosecution believes that Galushkin’s decisions led to the event of Russian troops into the territory of the Lipetsk community of Kharkiv region in May 2024.
Galushkin’s lawyer Dmitry Krugovy tried to convince the court that detention was a too strict precautionary measure for the client.

It’s about a brigade general Yuri Galushkin, Lieutenant General Arthur Gorbenko and colonel Elijah Lapina.
- Fifth President Petro Poroshenko has declared his intention to pledge for Galushkin. He later reported that another legal entity had already paid the required amount. The name of the mortgagor is not disclosed at this time.
- On January 22, DBR employees detained Galushkin again. The Bureau stated that in cooperation with the SBU, new facts in the case of a border break in Kharkiv were discovered.
