Details: G7 leaders want to secure Trump’s personal support for security guarantees for Ukraine after the ceasefire.
In particular, officials are negotiating the details of the meeting, which should take place on January 21 and may include other leaders of the “coalition of the willing”. According to officials, national security advisers from the coalition also plan to hold a separate meeting.
According to one of the European officials who took part in the negotiations before Davos, without the agreement of the USA, it will be impossible to implement the deployment of multinational forces, which was previously promised to Ukraine by Great Britain and France.
“It’s still unclear what Trump is really thinking,” the FT quoted the official as saying.
