FullTime Robotics told about the development of Ukrainian laser weapons against FPV-pings

Ukrainian company FullTime Robotics continues to develop its portable Slimbeam laser to fight hostile FPV-Drones. Engineers presented the prototype of their installation on the Iron Demo 2025, where the Defense Journalist visited.

The installation has a power of 1.5 kW and can affect the whole at a distance of up to 1 kilometer. Slimbeam also has a damping mode of hostile optics – both drones and stationary optical stations. The stated range of effective work in this mode is about 2 km.

According to Igor, one of the developers from the FullTime Robotics team, the Ukrainian laser installation is one of the lightest installations of similar power in the world. Its weight is just less than 50 kg.

The laser is suggested to be drank into stationary positions and ground robotic complexes (NRCs). At the same time, one of the main challenges for the developer remains to support the air target during the flight.

“We are now working on trekking goals. That is, we cannot accompany objects for a long time. We need to” lead “the goal for some time-5-10-15 seconds to destroy it. We do not work well, but we are working on it.

(…) We test a laser for static purposes at the moment. Mostly because the laser beam is guided by manual control. But we also develop automatic control that is being improved now, – says Igor.

It is worth noting that the Slimbeam laser is designed to fight small drones. The developer has considered the possibility of hitting the Iranian-Russian drones “Shahaned”, but for such a large purpose it takes more power. According to the developer, the laser should work on it for 10-12 seconds for damage to Shaksa.

FullTime robotics plans to create a laser version not only on the Turel, but also in the form of a rifle to work at the hands of the infantry. It is assumed that such a tool will increase the protection of positions from enemy drones of intelligence and FPV.

The company states that the laser can now be used for civilian tasks. It can remove obstacles from hard -to -access – power lines, multi -storey buildings, cut tree branches. During Iron Demo 2025, the developer demonstrated this functionality.

The developers also presented a number of other military developments at the exhibition. For example, the “defense” wrote that the Ukrainian Dwarf Engineering presented a universal module of auto-nuclei. And ISV is a land robotic complex “Karakurt” for remote launch of several drones.
