From the beginning of the occupation of Crimea, 122 people have become involved in the Crimean Muslims – CRC

Since the beginning of 2014, 122 people have become involved in the Crimean Muslim cases because of the accusations of Russian security forces of involvement in the religious organization “Hizb Ut-Tahrir”, which is forbidden in Russia, but allowed in most countries of the world. Such data is cited by the Crimean Tatar Resource Center on its site.

It is noted that out of 122 pursued 119 – representatives of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people. 83 of them are kept in Russian prisons and colonies, 27 are in a pre -trial detention center, three – under house arrest, eight were released, one died in Russian captivity. In total, the KCC counted 20 waves of detentions of Crimeans by Russian security forces in the affairs of Crimean Muslims

“The accusations of these“ cases ”are based on the testimony of” hidden witnesses “and the conclusions of” experts “who actively cooperate with the FSB of the Russian Federation. The only “evidence” is the forbidden Islamic literature, found during searches, FSB operations and audio records, which allegedly recorded that the convicted discussions on religious and political topics … Such a policy of the Russian Federation is a demonstration of the fight against dissent, as well as a religious and political report.

The Crimean Tatar Resource Center requires the abolition of all sentences to the persons of these cases and their immediate release, as well as other prisoners of political motives of the Crimeans. KRC also calls for the international community to increase pressure on the Russian Federation in order to “stop political persecution in the Crimea, as well as to impose personal sanctions on persons responsible for human rights violations in the temporarily occupied Crimea.”

Russian authorities and security forces do not comment on these reports.
