In 2026, at least 5 million people will be able to benefit from the free health screening program.

This was stated by Deputy Minister of Health Maria Karchevych during the webinar on the start of the screening program. informs “Interfax”.

“It is expected that at least five million people will be able to go through the program next year. In total, there are about 19 million people over the age of 40 in Ukraine.”the official said.

According to her, the cost of the health check will be two thousand hryvnias, which will be paid for by the state. The monitoring of information about the performed screening in the electronic health care system will be carried out by the National Health Service (NHSHU).

We will remind you that there will be funds for a medical examination come to a virtual card in the “Action” application. Ukrainians will be able to choose the clinic where they will be screened.

The examination will include laboratory and instrumental studies, as well as a doctor’s consultation. If necessary, patients will be able to get an electronic prescription for free medicines.

The program will be launched from January 1, 2026. The state budget allocated 10 billion hryvnias for medical examinations.
