Funds have begun to be deposited for the leader of “Batkivshchyna” Yulia Tymoshenko, who is suspected of offering bribes to people’s deputies and for whom the court chose a preventive measure in the form of bail. As of the morning of September 20, more than a third of the amount had been paid.

Details: According to UP sources, as of the morning of January 20, UAH 13.65 million was deposited. Of these, UAH 5 million was contributed by Serhiy Vitaliyovych Rabchuk, UAH 8.65 million by Oksana Volodymyrivna Fetisova, who are related to one of the main sponsors of “Batkivshchyna”, People’s Deputy Kostyantyn Bondarev.

Serhiy Rabchuk is the former head of Veles Bank, which was liquidated in 2020. The beneficial owner of the bank was People’s Deputy from “Batkivshchyna” Kostyantyn Bondarev.

Also, together with Bondarev, Rabchuk is a co-owner of the “Good Heart of the Motherland” charity fund.

Oksana Fetisova is the founder and ex-director of TD BONDAREV LLC, whose ultimate beneficial owner is also Kostyantyn Bondarev.

The VAKS office could not answer the UP’s questions regarding the pledge and advised to contact them with a written request, to which they will respond “according to the law no later than 5 working days.”

Mykola Tytarenko, Tymoshenko’s defender, could not confirm or deny this information.

“At the moment I can’t say, I have to check it first,” Tytarenko said.

What happened before: On January 16, the High Anti-Corruption Court ordered the leader of the “Fatherland” parliamentary faction, Yulia Tymoshenko, who is suspected of offering bribes to people’s deputies, a preventive measure in the form of bail in the amount of 33 million 280 thousand hryvnias. Tymoshenko said that she will appeal the court’s decision regarding bail, and if it is left unchanged, she will ask for help from friends and colleagues to raise funds.
