For the first time in 17 years, Ukrainian football clubs have not reached the main stage of the European Cups as a result of the season

For the first time in 17 years, Ukrainian clubs did not win the main stage of the UEFA tournaments.

This was reported by journalist Igor Semyon in his telegram channel.

In the 201025/2026 season, all teams that will represent Ukraine in the European will have to be qualified:

• Dynamo Kyiv – 2 Qualification Round of the Champions League;
• Shakhtar – 1 qualifying round of the Europa League;
• Alexandria – 2 qualification round of the conference league;
• Polissya – 2 qualifying round of the League of Conferences.

The last thing happened in the 2008/2009 season, when Shakhtar defeated Dynamo in the UEFA Cup semifinals and eventually won the trophy:

• Shakhtar – 3 qualifying round of the Champions League;
• Dynamo – 2 qualification round of the Champions League;
• Metalist – 1 Qualification Round of the UEFA Cup (preceded by the group stage);
• Dnipro – 2 UEFA Cup qualification round.

On the eve Shakhtar lost his last chance to get into the main round of the Europa League-2025/26. The fate of the Miners was determined in the Croatian Cup finals, where in the second match, Riko overcame Slavic Belupo (1: 0).
