Details: According to Fizo, US President Joe Biden authorized the use of ATACMS on Russian territory “with the express purpose of completely disrupting or delaying peace negotiations.”
He added that he instructed Slovak Foreign Minister Juraj Blanar and Defense Minister Robert Kaliniak not to support the US decision in any international forum and in any way.
“This is an unprecedented escalation of tension,” Fizo believes.
The Slovak prime minister was also surprised by how quickly some European countries supported the US decision, and stated that it is extremely important for Slovakia, as Ukraine’s neighbor, to have peace there.
“Those who want to see the continuation of the war in Ukraine are harming national and state interests,” he stated.
Earlier, the mass media reported that US President Joe Biden gave permission to Ukraine for the first time to use long-range American weapons – ATACMS missiles – on the territory of the Russian Federation.
According to the Axios portal, it is currently about the territory of the Kursk region, and the decision was conceived as a reaction to the involvement of North Korean troops in the war.
