Details: In the 15-minute speech, Fitzo praised Donald Trump, who, he said, returns “Peace to Europe”.

Direct language: “No one denies that Russia’s use of military force in Ukraine was a violation of international law. However, Russia had serious reasons for this in terms of security, since it was misled for a long time on the issue of NATO expansion.”

More details: According to Fitzo, “conflict” could be resolved much faster, but “the vast majority of EU member states, except for Slovakia and Hungary, supported the idea that the war in Ukraine should be used for political and economic weakening of Russia.”

He also accused the European Union of “pushed himself to the table of peace talks between the United States and Russia, although for three years they have openly supported and supporting the war in Ukraine.”

In his speech, the Slovak Prime Minister also supported Trump’s latest statements about Vladimir Zelensky, saying that the latter “really needed this war.”

“When there is a war, there can be no democratic elections … When there is a war, it is difficult to investigate where a huge part of the funds provided to Ukraine went,” Fitzo says.

Finally, speaking of Ukraine, the Slovak Prime Minister acknowledged that “peace talks” may not lead to the implementation of just and sustainable peace for Ukraine and its territorial integrity.

“However, Europe should in any case help the US President to stop the meaningless murder in Ukraine and not prevent him from achieving this goal,” he said.

What was before:

  • The Prime Minister of Slovakia still repeated the Russian narrative about the causes of the war in Ukraine, in particular Putin’s statement that the current Ukrainian government is governing the Nazi state.
  • And after the country was engulfed by mass anti -government protests, Fitzo called Zelensky a “enemy of Slovakia.”
