On Tuesday, November 12, Finland and Ukraine signed an agreement that will enable the Ukrainian state to attract loans worth up to 50 million euros.
This is reported by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.
The framework agreement was signed in Kyiv by Minister of Finance of Ukraine Serhiy Marchenko and Minister of Foreign Trade and Development of Finland Wille Tavio.
It is noted that the grant part of the project will amount to at least 35% of the total amount, which will ensure preferential financing conditions.
As the Finnish government explained, the new mixed credit instrument can be used in 2025-2026 for projects that Ukraine itself considers important.
However, they must comply with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and use Finnish technology and services.
