Details: Speaking to reporters on Friday, Fico called the US “peace plan” a “magnificent piece,” adding that “within the little influence that Slovakia has in the European Union, I will support this agreement.”

“If this agreement is signed, Russia will emerge from it as an absolute winner,” the Slovak prime minister said, adding that it will be strengthened “morally and economically.”
According to Fico, this “peace plan” is worse for Ukraine than the so-called Istanbul agreements of 2022, but he sees in it a chance for an immediate ceasefire on both sides of the front.
On occasion, he criticized the “zero” foreign policy of the European Union, pointing out that the “peace plan” contains a clause about investing 100 billion in the restoration of Ukraine by the EU.
“Without being asked,” he added.
US President Donald Trump gave Ukraine until next Thursday, November 27, to agree to the “peace plan” proposed by the US side.
On Friday, Zelensky addressed the Ukrainian people, in which he said that Ukraine today faced a difficult choice and risked losing either its dignity or its key partner.
